The Sun Sets to the East Tonight by KingStephenArthur The Sun Sets to the East Tonight by KingStephenArthur
A nice sunset tonight, however it did not occur on the western side where the sun was actually setting, but instead was reflecting off of the clouds opposite the sun to the East. This is one of my new spots I've been keeping an eye on and I had to run over to the western side of the pond to get this picture! haha

It's kind of strange how well illuminated the shore on your side is :wow:
Lovely shot, and interesting lighting

yeah, actually the shore on the other side too was very slightly illuminated but I darkened it in photoshop and I've been going back and forth with myself whether or not to upload that picture instead of this one. doesn't make much of a difference, and I brightened the foreground in photoshop lol

I think it looks much more interesting this way =P And the editing was quite effective
Of course, you could always upload the alternative in scraps if you aren't sure =P

yes this is true. But also I'd just like to clarify that any editing I do are very minor adjustments.

a couple years ago I would completely butcher photos with editing, but thats cuz I just sucked at photography and editing in general hahah.

Anyways glad you like it, I'm quite proud of this shot. :D

Ah yeah, same here =P I always use to edit them with crazy overblown colours.
Since then though I've gotten better and like a more natural look.
You can tell with your photography that it isn't over-edited, so no worries :)

Amazing shot! love the stillness of the water and the reflection of the clouds! I don't like the grass tho, it's competing for attention imo. :D
